NoBloPoMo, Day 13: Blood Family and Created Family…

As LGBTQ people, some of us have needed to create our own families.

Some of us created family because our blood relations shunned, rejected, or exiled us.  And some of us, because we never truly felt close to our respective blood relations, no matter how much or how little they loved us, or gave us, or showed us love.

Conversely, some of us LGBTQ people have had great relationships with their blood relations; I no longer envy those people, but do wonder, at times, what they did in their past lives, so that I can do the same things in my current one.

Are you any of you dreading the Holidays, or are you OK with the upcoming Holidays?  And if so, why are you dreading it, or why are you looking forward to them?

Questions to ponder, questions to answer, and I look forward to reading those answers.  You can submit comments, or if you want to keep it really private, you can contact me, via Email, at

Thank you for honoring who you are and what you do, and for honoring who I AM and what I do, too.gaymalefamilylesbianfamily
