Nonetheless, thank you, one and all, for being so patient.

“Catching up” seems to be the theme for the rest of my Winter!  Ha!

In the meantime, before I close, I wish to acknowledge my newest blog follower, “Gayboy Travels.”  Who knows?  He/they might be helping me with this series of posts!

May you receive great insight and great PRIDE from following “This Gay Man’s Life…”

And for those of you already following or reading “This Gay Man’s Life…” thank you for honoring who you are and what you do.  With honor, with courage, and with PRIDE!

Tops V bottoms

This was a very thought-provoking and insightful post, that truly did not receive as much attention that I feel it deserved. Hence, the reblog.

The Gay Dilettante

For what seems like forever now, there has been only two types of gay men; tops or bottoms.. That is until the new generation of gay men, some of whom refuse to have anal sex and prefer other methods of getting off with their partner invented sides, which plainly and simply put are gay men who do not engage in anal.

It never amazes me how one group of men, united by their love of other men can be so fractious… Maybe it’s an inter-generational thing, but there’s been a fair bit said about gay men trying to fit in by being heteronormative and now by decrying anal. And the sides accusing the others of throwing shade at them for their sexual choices.. Not that I want to get into an argument about semantics. But it would seem to me that if you happen to like men and you happen…

What’s Happening with Rev. Yolanda?

It has been a while since I have written a post about the Living Gender Bender Gospel Celebration that IS Roger Anthony Yolanda Mapes, more commonly known as Rev. Yolanda.

First, this past Wednesday, February 11, 2015, Rev. Yolanda was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame.  And, is the first drag queen to receive such an honor.

Was I able to attend?  No.  I was experiencing the mental muddiness that one can expect during a Mercury Retrograde (or, in this case, a Post Mercury Retrograde Storm).

Second, Rev. Yolanda is COMING BACK back to The Duplex!  And I cannot wait!!

For more information, or to buy tickets, visit

A little about THE Rev. Yolanda: Aside from being a MAC (Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs) Award Winner, an inductee of the GLBT Hall of Fame, the Blues Hall of Fame, the Bear Music Hall of Fame (I never even knew there was such a thing!), and a Grammy Award Nominee, Rev. Yolanda is also an InterFaith Minister, a sweetheart of a person, and most certainly a sweet guy/gal.

If you are not sure if you would enjoy Rev. Yolanda’s performances, ask yourself two questions:

1. Do I like Gay people?

2. Do I love good music?

If you answered “Yes” to either question, then you shall LOVE Rev. Yolanda!

Before I conclude my short little ditty of a blog post about one of my favorite people on the Planet, let me acknowledge my newest blog follower: Stuart M. Perkins.

I AM especially honored that he is following “This Gay Man’s Life…” because he is also following my very first WordPress Blog, “This Is Who I AM.”

I think I shall need to come up with a truly lovely gift for those people who follow both of my WordPress Blogs, because the number of blog followers who do so is increasing.

To all of you who follow or read “This Gay Man’s Life…” may you receive great insight and great PRIDE from doing so.

To those of you who follow or read “This Is Who I AM,” may you receive Divine Love, Divine Light, Divine Prosperity, and Divine Peace from doing so.

To those of you who follow or read both “This Gay Man’s Life…” AND “This Is Who I AM,” may the Universe Bless you with Blessing upon Blessing, Gift upon Gift, Miracle upon Miracle.

Thank you very much.

Setting Up a Schedule…

A few weeks ago, while reading some recent WordPress Blog posts written for WordPress Bloggers, I read in one of them to set up a schedule of when posts would be published, as well as to let blog followers and readers know when new posts to be published.

Currently, I AM catching up on various blog posts with both of my WordPress Blogs.

However, once I catch up, my desire is to commit to at least one blog post a week on “This Gay Man’s Life…”

Of course, as those of you who follow both of my WordPress Blogs know, not to mention those of you that know me personally (or professionally, for that matter), I often write as I AM Divinely Guided.

In other words, I receive an Intuitive Leading from Spirit to write something, and then I do so.  Sometimes, it is the same day, sometimes the following one.

And yes, as a writer, I know that it is important to sit my ass on the chair and WRITE!

Nonetheless, you can expect several blog posts on “This Gay Man’s Life…” during the next three weeks, at least.

Before I close, I wish to acknowledge my newest blog follower, “cloudedthinker.”  May you receive great insight and great PRIDE from following “This Gay Man’s Life…”

And for those of you who are already following or reading “This Gay Man’s Life…” May you continue to honor who you are and what you do.schedule

Catching Up on Updates…

In both my personal and professional lives, not to mention my Spiritual life, I often talk about Gratitude.

I cannot imagine the last time I went an entire day without expressing Gratitude.

As such, I wish to begin this post with expressing Gratitude to all my followers and readers of “This Gay Man’s Life…” In addition, to all of you who have submitted comments, reblogged blog posts, etc.

My Birthday is January 8, and for several years, I celebrate my Birthday all month-long.

Last month, was quite challenging, as there were days that were especially lovely, which were followed by days that were especially challenging.  I would go from having a Happy Birthday day to a crappy birthday day.  It was strange, as I do not recall the last time I had experienced that.

And I must confess, it left me quite fearful.  When I was younger, I had some very unpleasant and unfulfilling birthday experiences, and I certainly do not wish to resurrect such experiences.

Nonetheless, I feel much better this month, and am looking forward to Re-Minding myself that I AM a Radiating Center of Divine Love Healing Energies.

In the meantime, this month I shall be catching up on a lot of blog posts.  And yes, I AM cracking the whip on myself.  FWAHKAHTAH!  Ha!

A true writer writes, no matter what.  And indeed, I want and need to resume being a true writer.

Thank you and know that I AM most thankful for all of you.gratitude

Sharing an important experience…

I love being a professional Psychic.

There are times when I would enjoy participating in various events, especially ones that are Spiritually Uplifting.  However, I do not have a “fixed” schedule, nor do I have traditional “work hours.”

In addition, because I have finally learned the Prospering Power of budgeting, there are times when my monies need to go elsewhere, and do not have the option of participating in an event.  And, as much as I love the thought of paying my rent with Readings, that remains a (lovely) fantasy for me.

Nonetheless, I have heard wonderful things (and only wonderful things) about “Bear Your Soul,” which is a workshop (or, as one of my favorite authors would say, “playshop”) that took place last month.

Although I have only heard of the person presenting it, it took place at Easton Mountain ( and the fact that someone I do know personally was a part of the workshop tells me that it was a truly powerful and beautiful experience.

I was led to share with you one participant’s experience.  And you can read it by visiting

PLEASE NOTE: It does not matter if you are a “bear” or not, to benefit from reading the article.  My Sense is that anyone reading the article shall benefit from doing so.

Some of My Thoughts on Marriage Equality…

Recently, I discovered that I AM an Ambivert.

Although I have always known myself to be more introverted (or, in my not-at-all-humble-opinion, anti-social), I have adapted quite well.

I love spending time by myself, with myself, and although I do enjoy being around other people, I have found that there are times when I enjoy being with other people more than others.  For example, people treating me to lunch, or to dinner, or cooking me dinner in honor of my Birthday; people giving me money in exchange for my Psychic Services, etc.

I had a good acquaintance who I shall refer to as Michael (not his real name).  He used to have these social gatherings where people would get together, have snacks, listen to music, watch TV, and the like.

I would often listen to him when he talked, and I found him to be quite shallow.  And yes, my fellow LGBT people, and our straight allies, now you know that every once in a while, yours truly has a case of major DUMBNESS (also known as DUMBASS, as in acting like one)!

He had posted a photograph on a social media platform of two Egyptian men.  I think one was 16 and the other was 18, and both were to be hanged for “homosexuality.”

My friend, Michael (again, not his real name), commented that this is what is happening in the world, and “we are more concerned with a piece of paper.”

Am I all for marriage equality?  Yes.

And, I AM more for being able to walk hand in hand with my beloved, without fearing for my life, getting arrested, taken to be stoned to death, being hanged, shot, lynched, etc.marriage_equality
