What LGBTQ hate mail feels like — BosGuy

While the tide of public opinion has changed in recent years, there remains a strong and vocal group who see that acceptance as a direct and personal threat to their way of life. It is easy to disregard these groups but that would be a mistake. Rachel Lauren Clark, a member of the Pride Toronto […]

Returning to the Mountain…

For more than twenty years now, one of my favorite places to visit is Pennsylvania.

I have written numerous blog post on both “This Gay Man’s Life…” as well as my first WordPress Blog, “This Is Who I AM” sharing my experiences in both the Center City section of Philadelphia, as well as New Hope, Pennsylvania.

Well, in less than three weeks, I return to a place that I have only visited twice before, but love no less than either Center City, Philadelphia, or New Hope: Rainbow Mountain Resort, in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania.

I first learned about Rainbow Mountain Resort (also known as Rainbow Mountain) about ten years ago or so.  A good acquaintance, who had also availed himself of my Psychic Services, had entered a raffle, and won a complimentary weekend at Rainbow Mountain.

I do not recall the former name of the specific accommodations where the raffle entitled my acquaintance to stay, but on Rainbow Mountain’s Website, the room in which my friend and I stayed is not part of a set of rooms called the “King” Rooms, probably because each of them has a King-sized bed.

He did not want to go by himself, and asked if I would accompany him.  At that time, I had only been teaching group Prosperity Classes for a short time, but I knew a Money Miracle and Prosperity Gift when I saw it!  I still do, by the way!

I was happy to accompany him, and he and I coordinated our respective schedules and had a fantastic time.

My second time was in November, 2013.  I accompanied a good friend, and not only introduced him to both a great place, but my love for Pennsylvania, too.  He happens to live for chocolate, so the “Chocolate Lovers” weekend, was truly, a no-brainer!

This shall be the first time I go by myself.

Now, a little bit about why I AM going in a few weeks.

About a month ago or so, I was reading Rainbow Mountain’s Email Newsletter, , and one of the upcoming theme weekends was a “Flea Market” weekend.  Now, I happen to love flea markets, but more importantly, for years, I had been Divinely Guided to give Readings at a flea market.  However, the ones in my area do not draw me.

In addition, I feel it would be a unique experience to have a Reader at a flea market.

However, the flea market weekend at Rainbow Mountain was canceled.  I was surprised to learn that I was the only person that expressed an interest in being a vendor at said flea market.

Am I disappointed?  I was, but not any more.  Frankly, I need the time away.  My Body, Mind, and Soul are very much in need of this time away, and the Spiritualist in me knows that this shall be an excellent form of Divine Restoration.

In addition, I have been exploring some wonderful, Metaphysical/Magickal videos on YouTube, that have Re-Minded me of my Sacred Practices.  I felt led to make a few videos, during my stay at the Mountain.

Now, for all intents and purposes, my time at Rainbow Mountain Resort went from being a business trip, to a vacation trip.  However, I shall take my smartphone and my laptop computer with me, and I know that at least one staff member has expressed an interest in having a private Reading with me.  Said staff member and I simply need to look at the when.  Obviously, it shall be while I AM there.

For those of you who have yet to experience Rainbow Mountain Resort, I encourage you to check it out.  Please know that no one at Rainbow Mountain Resort is paying me to write this blog post.  I love the place, and I AM long overdue to write an original blog post on “This Gay Man’s Life…”  And so, here it is.

The food is beyond FAB!  The staff is totally wonderful!  The accommodations are lovely!

But please, do not take my word for it.  Read the online reviews, and learn first-hand why so many of us love the Mountain!

Not to mention the pool, sauna, steam room (which, this time I AM FINALLY visiting!), hot tub (my personal favorite!), the beautiful trails in the woods, and so much more.

If you do stay there, feel free to tell them you found out about “the Mountain” from Robert Alvarez, the Psychic Witch.

For now, I wish all of you great fun, great PRIDE, and a great rest of the Summer.

This is what you shall find at the top of Rainbow Mountain Resort's Website Home page.

NaPoWriMo, Day 8: “Please,” by Sappho…

Lately, figures from the Ancient Greek Cosmology have been making Their Presence known in my life.

And with that, I honorably transcribe this poem from the Divine Daughter of Lesbos, Sappho, entitled “Please.”

Come back to me, Gongyla, here tonight,

You, my rose, with your Lydian lyre.

There hovers forever around you delight:

A beauty desired.

Even your garment plunders my eyes.

I am enchanted: I who once

Complained to the Cyprus-born goddess,

Whom I now beseech

Never to let this lose me grace

But rather bring you back to me:

Amongst all mortal women the one

I most which to see.

–Translated by Paul Roche

For now, thank you, one and all, for honoring who you are and what you do.

Good night.

Guess what?

I must admit, I rarely watch BuzzFeed videos, and I rarely read BuzzFeed posts.

However, this time around, a fellow Gay Man let me know about this one.

And here you go:

Enjoy, and be enlightened.  Thank you.

Here is to 2015, “The Year of Taking it to the Next Level.”  May network television take representing LGBT people, more accurately, to the next level.buzzfeedlogo

Who Are You…

As a Gay Man, Lesbian, Bisexual or Transgendered individual, who are you?

Yes, this is a question that is good for one to pose, regardless of his or her sexual orientation, but as members of the LGBT communities, sometimes we look to others to determine who we are.

Sometimes we look to our straight counterparts, and sometimes we look to our fellow Lesbians, Gay Men, Bisexuals and Transgendered individuals.

Regardless of your sexual orientation, but especially if you are a Gay Man, Lesbian, Bisexual or Transgender person, I invite you to do the following:

This Friday night, February 28, 2014 (the Night of the DarkMoon [the Night before the New Moon]], make a list of all the things you know yourself to be and no longer wish to be.

An example of this could be:

1. Critical

2. Superficial

3. Obsessed with money

4. Size queen

5. Snobbish

Read the list twice, to make sure these are qualities that you are ready to surrender and release and banish back to the nothingness from whence they came, and then burn the list.  Collect the ashes and flush them down the toilet.

And then, on the following night, Saturday, March 1, 2014 (the date of the New Moon in Pisces), you can make a list of qualities you wish to begin to either manifest or magnify in you.  One example could be:

1. Financially peaceful

2. Compassionate

3. Loved and adored

4. Healthy and well

5. Divinely Protected

Read your list–again, twice–to make sure you are open and receptive to either manifesting or magnifying those qualities.

You can read your list every day, place the list in front of you in a place you spend most of your time (or, if you live with others, carry the list in your bag, wallet, etc.) then place the list under your pillows or inside your pillow (under the pillow, touching the top of the bed) and then allow yourself to KNOW yourself as this, already.

Do you have to do this?  No.  However, it is no coincidence that the color purple has Spiritual, Magickal and Energetic significance, and it is also no coincidence that the color purple can be found in the Rainbow Flag.

For those of you who engage in this activity (or, Ritual, if you will), I would like to hear about your experiences in the next few weeks, around the time between Sunday, March 16 (the date of the Full Moon in Libra) and Sunday, March 30, 2014 (the date of the New Moon in Aries).

Thank you for honoring who you are and what you do.777px-Gay_flag.svg

Where We Are…

Now more than ever, Gay Men and Lesbians, as well as Bisexual and Transgendered people are experiencing more opportunity and more freedom.  Dare I be so bold as to write (as opposed to say), more equality, as well.

But we have far to go, and more to do.

There are some issues that have become more recent: the assaults and terrorizing of Gay Men in Russia, during the Olympics, as well as marriage equality, and there are some that have been around for a while, such as being portrayed correctly and accurately in Hollywood.

I mean, really, how many motion pictures can continue to portray us, almost always, if not always, as hairdressers, cross dressers and child molesters, as opposed to attorneys, bankers, etc.

Personally, I have met many Gay Men who are hairdressers, cross dressers, but have also met Gay Men and Lesbians who are bankers, counselors, teachers, business owners, construction workers, and more.  Not every Gay Man is a professional hairdresser, make up artist, cross dresser, and there are more than a few that work in other fields and industries.

Some of us are even professional Psychics.

Perhaps this blog is unnecessary, but I felt that my friend deserved better treatment, and given how many of our fellow Gay Men are not treated fairly, kindly, equally, then perhaps there is a greater need for this blog than I may realize.

All in all, my fellow Gay Men, I think that all of us need to be nicer to ourselves and each other.

Before I close, I wish to Lovingly acknowledge THE Rev. Yolanda (www.yolanda.net) for being the first to comment on “This Gay Man’s Life…” as well as “Damyanti” for being my very first blog follower of “This Gay Man’s Life…”

Thank you, both, so very much for honoring who you are and what you do, and for honoring who I AM and what I do.

Thank you for reading my blog, and thank you for honoring who you are and what you do.

A Brand New Blog…

Recently, a good friend that I met, via a social media app for Gay Men, had an unpleasant experience that he met via another Gay Male social media app (no, I shall not name names, but I want to!), and it caused me to feel great anger.

Ironically, it was from that anger that this blog was born.

The name of this blog is “This Gay Man’s Life…”

I feel that this blog shall help me connect more deeply with my own Gayness, or Gay Male Nature, and perhaps create more Love and Brotherhood between our fellow Gay Men, and others that are not Gay Men.

Well, that is my ideal intention, but perhaps some more kindness and acceptance (not tolerance) shall also come about this blog.

I have no idea how often I shall post, but at least once a week, or whenever time allows, or as the Spirit moves me.

As I only received the idea for this blog on Sunday, February 16, 2014.  As such, it is a work in progress.

For those of you that are fellow Gay Men, I look forward to your comments, your suggestions, your ideas.

And if you are a Lesbian, Bisexual man or woman, a Transgendered individual, Questioning, or any other category I may have missed, you are also more than welcome to submit a comment, an idea, a suggestion, etc.

And for those of you who are straight, and especially allies to Gays, Lesbians, Bisexuals and Transgendered people, or who are predominantly straight, you may also submit a comment, suggestion, idea, etc.

Thank you for honoring who you are and what you do.  And thank you for honoring who I AM and what I do, too.rainbow_flag_1978_nov_drapeau_bandiera_bandeira_flagga-1969px
